The Stone House in Miradero is the home of Señor Carrots, Snips, George, Rose. It is a one-story painted adobe house with a Spanish tile roof. It has a small courtyard surrounded by a short stone wall. Two rows of five round bushes line a short brick walkway to the courtyard. The house is located just north of the church and just south of New Teacher house. Abigail was quarantined in the house when she contracted the frontier flu. Abigail and Pru were tending to their horses outside the Stone house when Lucky rode by on Spirit on the night of Lucky's thirteenth birthday.
The Stone House has a basement.[1]
