Subar (ムオーン Muōn) are a basic species of Krawl. The property of the base species is Flash. While they appear in Krawl Vortexes in the first game, the Subar family only play the role of Krawl Dust in Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals. Additionally, a near-identical Krawl species named Zorb appears in Spectrobes: Origins.
Appearance
Subar are bulbous, floating spheres whose gelatinous bodies are painted black, with purple patterns sprawled over them. They can easily compress and expand, and are shown to ooze when attacked. They are often seen flying alongside detached globules of their own body.
Attacks
In the first game, Subar attack by swelling up to three times their usual size, and ramming into the player.
In Beyond the Portals, they simply spin and ram into the player to deal damage.
Strategy
Subar are quick, and their swelling attack can make them difficult to dodge. Keeping them at a distance with ranged attacks, or knocking them away with Rallen's glove is the best way to manage them.
Trivia
- Subar are used in the Training Room on Kollin as the Krawl Dust in Field Battles.
- The Zorb Krawl family found in Kaio may be the same species, merely being named differently in the two star systems.
Variants
Subar, like all other basic Krawl, have different variants with other properties. The variants of Subar are:
