Mandora (マンドラ Mandora) or simply "Zeron" is an Alien Burrowing Reptile Kaiju that first appeared in The Pilot of Jaguarman. He was Jaguarman's second opponent and was 1 of 2 Kaiju Shown in The Pilot. Unfortunately the show was cancelled by P Productions Executives due to lack of interest.

Origin

Mandora was created by Mantle-God and Commanded by Udara and Sigma to be used as a weapon against the people of Earth to conquer them in the name of "The Mantle Empire".

Homeworld

Mandora's Homeworld was The Mantle Empire Home Planet (Jaguarman Universe) before being to Earth.

Intelligence

Mandora possesses similar intelligence to that of a normal Kaiju. He can perfectly understand orders and commands given to him by Udara or Sigma.

Objective

Mandora's Primary Objective was to destroy humankind and eliminate Professor Fujinami and his Magma Detector due the ladder posing a threat to their secrecy.

Design

Base Form:

Mandora is a large, monstrous creature resembling a dragon or a heavily armored dinosaur. Mandora has a fearsome appearance with several distinctive features:

It has a large mouth filled with sharp, pointed teeth.
The head is adorned with multiple horns or spikes.
Its body is covered in thick, plate-like armor, giving it a very robust and formidable look.
The creature is standing on all fours, and its legs are muscular with clawed feet.

Mandora has a distinct muted Grayish-Green coloration and or a Brownish-Red.

Portrayal

Base Form:

Mandora is portrayed by a suit unlike it's fellow Jaguarman Kaiju, Midoron who was portrayed by a life-sized puppet. Mandora's suit is primarily a muted grayish-green or a brownish-red after he came out of the ground.

Physiology

Unlike his successor, Mandora is not a Cyborg but instead a completely Biological artificially created alien lifeform with no distinctive physiological features to speak of other than it's incredibly thick armor-like hide which can survive the immense pressure of burrowing underground.

He has a prehensile tail and strong jaw with sharp teeth capable of an immense Bite force.

Powers, Weapons and Abilities

Base Form:

Strength: Mandora possesses immense strength and dexterity capable of tearing into the toughest of metals and destroying the largest of mountains.
Speed: Mandora is capable of running at a speed of 140-160 km/h (86-100 mph).
Reaction Speed: Mandora has the reaction speed capable of going toe-to-toe with Jaguarman, who himself was able to exceed the speed of a bullet train.
Durability: Mandora's Plate-Like armor is capable of withstanding the pressure and the intense heat of the underground magma layer.
Burrowing: Mandora's most powerful ability is burrowing. He can burrow at speeds up to 1.2 - 1.8 km/h or 0.75 - 1.12 mph. This speed is significantly slower than Zeron.
Bite Force: Mandora's bite force is measured at 20,000 PSI.
Prehensile Tail: Mandora's signature weapon is his prehensile tail which he used to whip Jaguarman many times throughout their short battle.

Weaknesses

Heat Discharge/Explosions: As seen in his Battle with Jaguarman, Mandora is susceptible to massive heat discharges or simply "Explosions".
Brute Force: Like most Kaiju, Mandora's durability does have limits and can be overpowered by an opponents sheer strength.

History

Jaguarman - Episode 0 - Pilot:

As Phase one of the the Mantle people's assault on Earth at the behest of Mantle-God began, Mandora irritated the Earth's magma layer to cause Earthquakes all over Japan. After Mantle-God alerted the Mantle Base of the presence of Jaguarman, Sigma Commanded Udara to send Mandora out to destroy professor Fujinami and The Magma detector with him. As he approached the train's trajectory underground at high speeds, Jaguarman in his human form stopped the train and grew to his giant form to fight the Vile beast. Jaguarman in his 50 meter form grabbed on to Mandora's head and threw the beast. Mandora was not phased and destroyed the nearby train station and used his tail to whip Jaguarman many times as Fujinami and several onlookers watched. Jaguarman grabbed the beast's head again, this time intending to finish the job. Jaguarman Suplexed Mandora over his head and onto a refinery, destroying the refinery and killing the beast. Due to Jaguarman's Heroics, Earth was saved from this crisis.

Durability: Tier III - While Mandora's hide was able to survive unscratched by the refinery explosion
Intelligence: Tier II - Mandora displays animal-like tendencies and needs to controlled by Sigma.
Abilities: Tier IV - Mandora has many abilities but His durability is his greatest asset. Unfortunately it does not help him survive brute attacks or even explosions.

Overall Power Level: 2.8

Notes

Mandora is the strongest kaiju in Jaguarman.
The Reason Mandora is a different color than his official Jaguarman color of Grayish-green is due to the ground he emerges from.
Mandora is one of the few kaiju in Spectreman history that is not controlled by the primary antagonist, instead he is controlled by the lieutenant, Sigma.
