Yuanen Zhentian

Yuanen Zhentian is the patriarch of the Titan Giant Ape Clan and a teacher of the Shrek Academy. He is the grandfather of Yuanen Yehui and one of the Limit Douluos on the Douluo Continent.

Appearance

He is an elderly man that resembles a gargantuan pillar that immediately drew one's attention.^[1]

Personality

He never smiled anymore after the incident with the Demon Plane. This changed after getting revenge on the demons.

History

When Zhentian was young, he dedicated all of his time and energy to cultivation. He traveled to almost every single part of the continent to find better places to cultivate, and became a Titled Douluo at 28, a Hyper Douluo at 35, and a Limit Douluo at 47.^[2]

At the age of 50, he found a wife for himself under the pressure of his family. A year later, his first son, Yuanen Tiandang was born. The previous leader of the clan passed the position of clan leader to him due to him being a Limit Douluo.^[2]

Zhentian decided to raise Tiandang as his successor after awakening their clan martial soul with innate full soul power at the age of 6. He had a few more children after Tiandang, but they were lacking in aptitude and temperament.

When Tiandang became a Soul Douluo, Zhentian sent him out of the clan to experience the world. He came back with a woman named Ye Hui.

One fateful day, cries of alarm and darkness elemental fluctuations woke Zhentian up from his slumber.^[3]

Plot

Volume 15 - Joust for a Spouse

Due to the destruction of Shrek Academy, Zhentian thought that Yehui had died in the disaster until he saw her appearance in the Joust for a Spouse Festival. He set off to Bright Capital City with Tianshang and a group of clansmen to bring Yehui back before she reaches the Titled Douluo rank.
