Anime Continuity Notice
Information on this page follows the Soul Eater anime's continuity. All terminology on this page utilizes official FUNimation translated terminology and appropriate redirects to anime-related pages.

Johnny Rubber (ジョニーズラバー, Jonīrabā) is a powerful kishin egg who serves as a quest miniboss in the final day of Soul Eater: Monotone Princess.

Appearance

Johnny Rubber is a tall, feral-looking figure with spiky grey hair and pure black skin, most of which is covered in a dark blue bodysuit apart from his shoulders, inner wrists and his abdomen. He has an oversized belt covering his waist, a pair of large brown boots, and three dull yellow bracelets covering his ankles. On his hands, Johnny wears metal claws with a macabre design which are connected to his shoulders with metal straps. He has a white mask with stitches in its center and over his mouth, a droplet design over his left eye, and an outer ring with a leaf-like design.[1]

Special Abilities

High Physical Abilities (高い身体能力, Takai karada nōryoku): Johnny's speed is comparable, if not superior, to one-star meisters such as Death the Kid, as he can avoid their attacks with relative ease. He also has a level of durability which allows him to survive multiple Death Cannon-level attacks before being defeated.

Hand-to-Hand Combat (体術(たいじゆつ), Taijutsu): Johnny seems to possess a high degree of skill at using his metal claws, which can keep up with combatants on the level of Black☆Star.

Equipment

Claws: Johnny wears powerful metal claws on both of his hands, which are powerful enough to injure Black☆Star or Kid. His in-game max attack damage stat is even higher than Grimoire's.[2]

Trivia

  • Johnny Rubber's appearance and fighting style closely resemble those of Jack and DFrefre.
  • The character's name is a reference to the experimental short 2005 horror film/music video called Rubber Johnny, telling the story of a wheelchair bound man driven insane by addiction and abuse.
