Biography

Season 1

It is apparent that she has a strained relationship with Mikey. Given his disrespect for then DiMeo capo Anthony "Tony" Soprano Sr. and his crew in his criminal life, Mikey also made for a bad husband. One day in April 1999, JoJo was demanding her husband do chores, but he chooses to go out jogging instead. She rants that he never lifts a finger, to which he retorts "Go take a Midol", then runs off. JoJo had no way of knowing that that was the last conversation she would have with her husband. Immediately after jogging into the forest, Mikey was ambushed by DiMeo soldier Peter "Paulie Walnuts" Gualtieri and associate Christopher "Chris" Moltisanti, who attack him for varied reasons (Tony's reason is to cement his power grab from Junior Soprano, his uncle and DiMeo boss and Christopher's reason was out of vengeance for Mikey's murder of Brendan Filone). Later, a distraught JoJo is shocked about her husband's death (but conceals Mikey's vulgar nature from the police).

Season 4

Much later in the series, when a car crash ends the life of Karen Baccalieri, many of the unattached women on the series make a play for the widowered DiMeo mobster Robert "Bobby Bacala" Baccalieri Jr., as his stable lifestyle and gentle nature make him a catch. Among those are JoJo, who has had her hair set and delivers a dish to Bobby and his children, but is ushered out by Janice Soprano, herself having her aim on lassoing Bobby for herself.

Trivia

In the episode "From Where to Eternity", JoJo only appears in deleted scenes.
