Tusk Luza[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian warthog, and a citizen of Mobotropolis. He was notable for coining the term "Robian" as a description for a roboticized mobian.
Appearance
Tusk Luza is a brown mobian warthog with violet overalls, a blue eye, a black eye patch over his left eye socket, and two white tusks, the rightmost of which is partially broken. He also wears a pair of shoes that greatly resemble Sonic's sneakers, the main difference being they are mainly colored orange, with white stripes.
History
Rise of the Robians
Shortly after the First Robotnik War, Tusk Luza led an angry mob of Mobotropolis citizens in cornering the roboticized Fanny Dupin, whom Tusk had caught been seen sneaking around one of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's factories. Tusk was suspicious of her actions, feeling that any robian caught in one of Robotnik's labs had to be secretly conspiring with him. Although Fanny was saved by the intervention of Sir Charles Hedgehog (a "Robian" himself), Tusk considered this proof that Robians would stick together no matter what. Refusing to accept Fanny's story that she had gone to the factory on a dare from her friends, Tusk stated said that robians couldn't be trusted since they had so recently been under the control of Robotnik. Tusk demanded that they take the matter before Princess Sally to resolve the issue, to which Charles agreed. However, due to Sally being on a mission at the time, the group instead found themselves in an audience with the still-ailing King Acorn, whose half-crystalline appearance initially shocked Tusk Luza and his mob. Despite his misgivings about the Robians, Tusk was aghast when King Acorn suddenly ordered the immediate dismantling of all roboticized citizens.[1]
Personality
Tusk Luza is extremely judgmental towards Robians, and considers them to be traitors to Dr. Robotnik. Despite this, he has standards about actions taken against them, as he was surprised when King Acorn ordered all the robians to be dismantled. He also respects the House of Acorn's authority, and regularly uses slang in his speech. [1]
Powers and abilities
Tusk Luza appears to posses leadership qualities, as he led an entire mob of angry mobians against Fanny Dupin.[1]
