The Spike Blast[1] is an attack that was meant to appear in Sonic-16. It is a technique where Sonic the Hedgehog shoots his quills at foes.

Description

When performing the Spike Blast, Sonic jumps into the air, spins around, and releases several quills from his body in all directions. In gameplay, this move is capable of taking out multiple enemies surrounding Sonic at once.[1]
