Spalding[1] is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a non-anthropomorphic spitting cobra, and a pet belonging to Dr. Ivo Robotnik.
Appearance
Spalding is a green spitting cobra with a tan underbelly and nose, two white fangs, and several dark green spots on his back.[1]
History
TV series
Season one
Spalding resided inside a vase in Dr. Robotnik's Fortress, until the lid to said vase was briefly lifted by Dr. Robotnik, who wanted to use Spalding as his pet for his presidency campaign. As Spalding stuck his head out of the newly opened vase, he spat at Wes Weasely, causing him to reattach the lid, leaving Spalding trapped in the vase once more.[1]
Personality
Being the pet of Dr. Robotnik, Spalding is highly aggressive, spitting at anyone (apart from his owner) within range.[1]
Powers and abilities
Spalding is capable of spitting at targets, although said spit is completely harmless.[1]
