The Orb-Bot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a mass-produced robot model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik.
Appearance
The Orb-Bots are two-legged with clawed, metal feet. They have a purple, orb-shaped body with laser blasters in the front and two in size and equipped with twin lasers. They also have two eye-antennae.
History
Sally Acorn, Geoffrey St. John, Arlo the Armadillo, Hamlin, Dylan Porcupine and Penelope Platypus encountered two Orb-Bots while trying to take down one of Robotropolis's power stations. Sally Acorn managed to take one of them down by tripping it with a wire. The next one survived for longer and followed Sally and her group out of the exploding power station but was destroyed when it fell into a ridge.[1]
