The meteor is an object that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is an extraterrestrial meteorite with the ability to switch the minds between those who touch it.
Description
Appearance
The meteor is a purple-colored and crystalline meteorite that gives off a constant glow.
Abilities and traits

Whenever two organisms make physical contact with the meteor at the same time, it creates an energy surge that switches the subjects' minds between them, causing them to inhabit the other's body. In some cases, this generates a shot potent enough to knock the subjects unconscious. Nothing occurs if only one person touches it though. The only way to reverse this process is for the subjects in question to touch the meteor at the same time again.[1]
History
TV series
Season one

Originating from a meteor shower passing the earth, the meteor would fall down into a large crater on Seaside Island, where Dr. Eggman and Sonic tried to claim it, only for the meteor to swap their minds and knock them out when they touched it. Unaware of the transfer, Tails studied the meteor until he saw it swap the minds of a fly and a lizard when they touched it. Realizing what it had done, Tails brought the meteor to a battle between Sonic and Eggman (each in the other's body) and revealed what had happened to their allies. Eggman initially refused to swap back with the meteor, but gave in when Sonic threatened to cut off the doctor's own moustache on his body.[1]
