The Magesteron[1] is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a space transport ship used by a group of D'novulands, commanded by Captain Oe.
Description
Appearance
The Magesteron resembles a large gray rectangular spacecraft with two spire-like structures protruding from its top and bottom. On its interior, the Magesteron possesses a windowed control room and a Bio-Pod bay.[1]
Features and traits
In addition to being capable of space travel, the Magesteron is equipped with shield barriers, and is loaded with several Bio-Pods, each of which can be jettisoned in case of emergency.[1]
History
Tossed in space
Captain Oe and his Help-Hands piloted the Magesteron towards the Mezzo Jillion trade center when they received a message from the Blodex, asking for their assistance on helping Sonic take steps further on reaching back into Mobius after the climactic Xorda Attack on Mobius. Captain Oe agreed, and allowed Sonic on the Magesteron. However, the Cemerant-16 space orb had exploded upon their journey to the Mezzon Jillion trade center, with the meteorites of the space orb reaching the Magesteron, and damaging it. With all but Sonic and Captain Oe out of the ship via Bio-Pods, Captain Oe paralyzed Sonic and put him inside the last Bio Pod, sacrificing himself to save the hedgehog. Soon after the last pod was jettisoned, the Magesteron (and by extension, Captain Oe) was obliterated by the asteroids.[1]
