Knight of Kronos

Knight of Kronos is a title that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an entitlement of unknown nature belonging to an elite few.[1] It is associated with time travel and is sought by Silver the Hedgehog.

Description

Not much is known about what a Knight of Kronos is or what this title involves. As implied by Mammoth Mogul, however, the Knights of Kronos are a form of protectors or guardians that precariously travel through time.[2] Furthermore, the Knights of Kronos are according to rumors associated with the Time Stones, and are said to both guard Little Planet throughout time and protect the Time Stones.[1]

While no one revealed to be a Knight of Kronos has been seen yet, Silver seeks to become one through his training with Mammoth Mogul in order to restore his time. With a Time Stone, Mammoth Mogul possesses and has taught Silver the power of Chronos Control as a part of his training to become a Knight of Kronos, though it is unknown whether or not Mammoth Mogul was a Knight of Kronos and is now passing on the torch to Silver.

Trivia

  • The name of this title is based on the achievement "Knights of Kronos" in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), which is achieved by completing the Last Mission with a S Rank.[3]
  • In Ancient Greek mythology, Kronos was a titan with the ability to control time.
