Kansas[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a state that's part of the United States.

History
In 1870, Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary arrived in Kansas where they saved sheriff from a bandit named Butch. The sheriff told them that some robots were causing trouble for the settlers. While Tekno and Amy were able to destroy the robots, they questioned why they were in a time period they did not belong to, with Colonel Granite showing up just then and claiming the robots as his own.[1]
Granite went on to boast about how, using time travel, he would amass an army of futuristic soliders in 1870 and use them to take over the world. However, during his speech, Butch came and shot at the colonel and his men. Amy and Tekno took the opportunity to shove Granite and his men back to 1998 through their time machine.[2]
