Past
One of Farrell's friends brought him a basket, which they had stolen from a Robotropolis doorstep. Upon opening it, Farrell was surprised to find a baby inside, but soon took to him and rather than throwing him away, raised him as a thief. Years later, Manic managed to successfully steal Farrell's wallet without him immediately noticing. Farrell was quite proud of Manic for doing so, and attempted to reward Manic with a set of silver drumsticks, before noticing that Manic had also managed to steal them.[2]
Season one
Farrell later escorted Manic through Robotropolis, although Manic parted ways with him to search for the source of a tune he heard, despite Farrell hearing nothing. However, Farrell was soon captured by the evil dictator Dr. Robotnik, found guilty of treachery and swiftly subjected to roboticization due to his relation to Manic.[2]
