The Electrocage is an object that appears in the Sonic Boom series. It is a high-tech cage invented by Dr. Eggman for imprisoning Team Sonic.

Description

Appearance

The Electrocage is a high-tech hover disc with a red projector on the bottom.

Features and abilities

When activated, it generates a number of unmovable orange energy rings below it, forming a cage so impeccable than none of Team Sonic's members can escape. However, there is still enough space between the energy rings for the prisoners to stick their limbs out between them. The entire device is controlled by a remote control.[1]

History

TV series

Season one

The Electrocage was invented by Dr. Eggman as a means to capture Team Sonic. While in the Village, Eggman condescendingly demonstrated his Electrocage to Dave the Intern before he got knocked out by a falling tree. Dave then used the Electrocage to imprison Eggman in his house while he hijacked the doctor's forces, until Sonic freed Eggman from the cage.[1] The cage was later used again by Eggman, this time to imprison the Archipelago Homeowners Association in his lair, only for Sonic to free them shortly after.[2]
