Doug[1] (ドグラス Dogurasu?, lit. "Douglas") is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. He is the father of Helen and works long hours at a grocery store.
History
Anime
Past
It has been explained by Helen that Doug was always promising his daughter to take her to an island filled with beautiful flowers, but was unable to do so because he was always working.[1]
Chaos Emerald Saga
After hearing about all the fun Helen had with Sonic, Doug resolved to rearrange his working schedule in order to find a way to spend more time with her.[1]
Egg Moon Saga
When the Egg Moon blocked sunlight from the planet, Doug and his family purchased a Sunshine Ball, which they were later seen enjoying in their garden.[2]
Personality
Doug is a hard-working man who has been shown to be willing to work long, hard hours in order to provide his family with the things they need and want. As such, he undoubtedly loves his family.[1]
