The Conduit Gel is a substance that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an alien breed of fungus cultivated by the Black Arms.
Description
Conduit Gel is described as oozing gunk that the Black Arms use for quick transport by absorbing themselves into it and moving through it like in veins to another location. Apparently, only members of the Black Arms' race or those biologically related to the species can use it. Its actual name is unknown, though Shadow could best translate it to "Conduit Gel".[1]
History
Past
During the Black Arms' first invasion of Sonic's World, some Conduit Gel was brought to Prison Island.[1]
Shattered World Crisis
Act One
When Team Dark and the Spider Troupe invaded the New Black Comet to destroy it, they hit a dead-end with some Conduit Gel. Despite Rouge's protest, Shadow utilized the Conduit Gel to scout ahead, only to end in a room filled with Black Arm soldiers.[1]
Trivia
- The Conduit Gel is based on the Red Slime from the Shadow the Hedgehog video game.
