Barney[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series published by Archie Comics. He is an elderly chameleon residing in Rainbow Valley.
Appearance
Being a chameleon, Barney closely resembles Espio in appearance. He is a purple chameleon with a large yellow horn, three spines on the back of his head, and somewhat elderly but muscular proportions. He also has a white mustache, and a white unibrow, showcasing his signs of aging.
For attire, he wears a red coat with a yellow and white triangular pattern on it.
History
Hiding in Plain Sight
Barney was injured by a roboticized Valdez, who had come to the island in search of Espio the Chameleon, and left to die in Rainbow Valley. Thankfully, Barney was noticed by Espio, whom he attempted to explain his assailant to, before passing out. Barney was then brought by Julie-Su aboard her Streaking Pasha, Thunder, to a medical center in Echidnaopolis.[1]
