V-Slasher

V-Slasher (Ｖ（ヴィー）スラッシャー) is one of Leona Heidern's Super Special Moves in The King of Fighters series, first appearing alongside her in The King of Fighters '96.

Description

Leona dives down to chop her opponent, then rises back up, creating a V-shaped explosion. Starting with KOF XIII, the version has Leona performing V-Slasher while in her Riot form.

Trivia

• V-Slasher is based on Voltes V's V Slash, a finishing move where the enemy is bisected in a V-shaped slash with the ensuing explosion after.
  • One of Yosuke Hanamura's Special Moves in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Flying Flash Cut, acts similar to Leona Heidern's V-Slasher. Both are attacks that creates a V-shaped slash and can only be used while in midair. Interestingly, the localization of P4AU renames the move as V-Slash.
