Past
Ron was the former leader to an elite assassination group known as the Hizoku, as well as one of the Hizoku's Four Devas at the time. He was also the father to a number of their members, including Duo Lon and Xiao Lon. One fateful night, he betrayed the Flying Brigands and slaughtered as many people in the village as he could, including his own wife and the other Devas, labeling himself as a traitor by many of the group's members. Only a few of them, including Duo Lon and Xiao Lon, survived the burning village. The surviving members would reform and selected the most skilled of the survivors, Lin, Luan, Chat and Sai to become new Four Devas. They set out to hunt down Ron, who had become the worst traitor. Sometime later, Duo Lon would hunt down Ron as well.
At some point, Ron joined NESTS and underwent a modification surgery. The purpose of his team up with NESTS was in search of a mysterious power called the Dragon Spirit.
NESTS Chronicles
The King of Fighters 2000

After surviving the Zero Cannon's second shot during the 2000 tournament's climax, Ron appears before the Benimaru Team. They learns that Ling is really Zero in disguise and that Ron had joined with NESTS.
The King of Fighters 2001

After the 2001 tournament's conclusion, K', Maxima, Whip, and Lin (the winners of the 2001 tournament) rode a blip to reach the NESTS cartel in space. There, they encounter Zero, Glugan, Ron, and a revived Krizalid to prevent them from reaching Nests. Upon Zero's defeat, he urges the team to escape the collapsing ship and presumably dies honorably on board the vessel. Ron however, survives and somehow sneaks into the NESTS cartel. When Igniz was defeated by K', he attempted to destroy Earth by crashing the NESTS base into the planet. However this was prevented by Ron, by directing the base into the ocean.

During the Psycho Soldier Team ending, Ron reveals to Misty about the Dragon Spirit, and how its power surpasses NESTS. This power currently resides in Sie Kensou, and is interested in releasing this power.
