Sir Lancelot

This article refers to a character in the 1980s Smurfs cartoon series from Season 9 and is not to be confused with Lancealout, a Season 1 character in the episode "Sir Hefty".

Sir Lancelot (also known as "Sir Lancelot du Lak") was a hero who figured in most versions of the legend of King Arthur, of whom he was a close friend and one of the knights of the Round Table. He also appears as a character in the Smurfs cartoon series Season 9 episode "The Smurfs Of The Round Table". At the beginning of the episode, while attending a jousting tournament with King Arthur and the other knights of the Round Table, he was shrunk to the tiny size of a Smurf by the evil witch Morgan le Fey after she stole the King's magical sword Excalibur, turned the good wizard Merlin into a rock statue, and transformed the King and the rest of the knights into wax figures, leaving them to melt in the sun while she planned to take over the kingdom. Despite his shrunken state, he joined the team of time-lost Smurfs as they set out to fight against Morgan. He later helped the Smurfs to get back Excalibur by joining forces with Hefty Smurf. Despite Hefty's initial jealousy over Smurfette's infatuation with the gallant knight, when Sir Lancelot confronted Morgan, Hefty saved him from being sliced to pieces by her wielding Excalibur. Finally, when Merlin was transformed back into a wizard, he took everyone back to Camelot, and Sir Lancelot was transformed back to his normal size.

Appearance

In the episode, he is depicted as a handsome and tall man with red hair and two short whiskers and wearing a red suit of armor.
