SmoshCast is the tenth channel created under the Smosh brand. It was first announced and released on February 22, 2019. The first video released on February 22, 2019, entitled HOW SMOSH BEAT DEFY - SmoshCast #1.

The channel was created following the pickup of Smosh by Mythical Entertainment. Ian has explained that the podcast gives the cast, crew, and guests a place to talk candidly, feeling that they were never given a place to do so at Defy Media. Since then, they have covered many topics, including mental health, coming out, relationships, past grievances, cancer scares, body dysmorphia, and more.

SmoshCast is also where the catchphrase "Shoot, Dood!" was coined by Ian, which evolved into its own segment on the podcast where the cast reads and reacts to embarrassing stories submitted by fans (submittable to the email address "shootdood@smosh.com") and decide if the story deserves a "Shoot, Dood!".

The podcast was hosted by Courtney Miller and Ian Hecox from season 1 to 2, and then by Shayne Topp and Amanda Lehan-Canto starting from season 3.

In August 2023, Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla created a new series called Flashback with Smosh where they look back at classic Smosh sketches and discuss about their production and why they garnered billions of views. The current season of SmoshCast was renamed to Smosh Mouth.

Description

Seasons 1-2: Join the Smosh family as we discuss current events, YouTube drama, give our unqualified and unsolicited advice, and whatever else is on our minds with Ian Hecox and Courtney Miller alternating as hosts, and a rotating panel of Smosh cast members, coworkers, and YouTuber guests.

Season 3: Join Shayne Topp (short), Amanda Lehan-Canto (tall), and a rotating Smosh friend as we discuss what’s on our minds, what we’ve found on the internet, and other dumb ideas we’re cooking up.

August 2023: On Smosh Mouth: Join Shayne Topp (short), Amanda Lehan-Canto (tall), and a rotating Smosh friend as we discuss what’s on our minds, what we’ve found on the internet, and other dumb ideas we’re cooking up.

On Flashback with Smosh: In ‘Flashback with Smosh’ Smosh creators Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla are going back to the most infamous Smosh sketches from the last 18 years to try to understand why they garnered billions of views. It’s a trip down memory lane, an in-depth look at the business of one of the first creator-led businesses, and a story of two friends forging their own path in the online landscape.

Until in September 2023, Flashback with Smosh announced that it had moved to the main channel, causing the description of Flashback with Smosh to be removed.

June 2024, After 'Lunchtime with Smosh: The Podcast' was officially released, a description was added: On Lunchtime with Smosh: Grab your favorite snack and join Anthony Padilla, Ian Hecox and their Gen Z producer on their lunch break to chat about who knows what! Seriously, we don't know what this show is or where we will film it but tune in every other week to find out.
