Part Timers is a Smosh scripted live-action comedy series that only premiered on YouTube. It is Smosh's first attempt at a live-action scripted series. The teaser trailer, PART TIMERS (Trailer), was released November 5, 2015 and the official trailer, Part Timers (Official Trailer) was released January 4, 2016. The show premiered on January 11, 2016, and ended on May 30, 2016. All episodes were only on Smosh's YouTube channel and their website. The series is produced by DEFY Media and sponsored by Edgewell Personal Care's Schick Hydro brand. Just like the episodes, the trailers can be viewed on Smosh's YouTube channel and the Smosh website as well.
On March 21, 2016, it was confirmed that Part Timers would be renewed for a second season. The first episode of the season premiered on April 4, 2016.
The series was not confirmed for a third season and ended its run May 30, 2016.
Premise
Part Timers follows the dysfunctional employees of Pork E. Pine’s -- a pizzeria and arcade long past its prime. Ian suits up as the beloved mascot (“Porky”), while Anton (Anthony), the restaurant’s hapless manager, struggles to keep the doors open and his employees happy. The show is loosely based off of Ian's first job as a teenager at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Cast
- Ian Hecox as Ian/Porky, who works as the pizzeria's mascot. The best friend of Anton.
- Anthony Padilla as Anton, the pizzeria's new owner given to him by his father. The best friend of Ian.
- Casey Webb as Dinger, the man who runs the pizzeria's prize booth. He's been there longer than any of the other employees.
- Jade Martz as Ella, a homeless woman that the pizzeria found in an alley and hired.
- Natalie Whittle as Lori, she seems to be the pizzeria's most levelheaded employee and is the assistant manager.
- Cat Alter as Mads, who works as the pizzeria's cleaning crew. The love interest of Pete. She gets hit by a car and killed in First Kiss Fail. (Existed since season 1-2)
- Noah Grossman as Pete, the pizzeria's newest employee who is also the love interest of Mads.
