Commendations

The Commendations system in SMITE allowed players to give praise and reward other players who show positive attitudes in the community. This system was first introduced on SMITE Version 5.13.4890 and removed on SMITE Version 12.1.8253. The patches were released on July 24, 2018 and January 21, 2025 respectively.

Description

Players can commend one another for their ability to guide a team, being friendly, or their ability to work as a team. After a match players can select one of these options and award players points that go towards a monthly award. Goodwill also contributes points, giving players at 100% Goodwill a bonus amount of points!

Each time a player is commended they earn points towards a monthly cap. Every 2 minutes of match time at 100% Goodwill provides a point. Reaching the milestones will grant rewards such as boosters and treasure chests. Progress is reset every 28 days.

At the end of a season, players who meet the requirements and have remained unbanned for the entirety of that season will earn special exclusive rewards!

Commendation types

Guide	Teamwork	Friendly	Goodwill

Guide: Progress with this type of commendation is made by receiving the Guide commendation from players after matches.
Teamwork: Progress with this type of commendation is made by receiving the Teamwork commendation from players after matches.
Friendly: Progress with this type of commendation is made by receiving the Friendly commendation from players after matches.
Goodwill: Progress with this type of commendation is made by playing matches while being at 100% Goodwill.

Rewards

Players can earn rewards by accumulating points. Each time a player is commended they earn 3 points towards their monthly cap of 600. Every 5 minutes of match time at 100% Goodwill provides a single point. At 300 points players earn Team Skin Boosters. At 450 points players earn a Champion's Chest. At the maximum of 600 Points players earn a Godlike Chest! Points and rewards reset every 28 days.

Apart from these standard rewards, players who remain unbanned for all of a season's duration will receive special rewards! Players must play at least 50 matches during that season to qualify for the rewards.
