Mopey Mary was a girl who threw herself down into a well.
History
In 1932, Mary received a Valentine's box with rabbit poop inside her gift. She ran off and was so distraught that she threw herself down into the old school well and remained there for seven days, then died in the process. Groundskeeper Willie found Mary, who sealed it off, so no one found her, and he then went away. She would then to kill people who watch cursed videos that would be uploaded to TikTok.
During the party, the guests, including Milhouse and Sherri and Terri, were watching a TikTok video. However, the video in question was the cursed one, said to be haunted by the spirit of Mopey Mary. Seven days later, Milhouse, who had viewed the TikTok eight times, was found murdered with eight knives in his back. Sherri and Terri met their demise in Lisa's presence. Bart informed Lisa that she was the sole survivor, as he had refrained from watching the video because of its ominous reputation.
To investigate the mystery, they enlist Grandpa, who is unafraid of death, to observe and narrate the video's content, which bears a resemblance to the VHS tape in The Ring. Subsequently, they question Principal Skinner regarding the video, but he dismisses their concerns. In time, Groundskeeper Willie reveals to them that the video's curse originated from Mopey Mary, a young girl who plunged into an old school well after receiving a gift containing rabbit feces, and remained unnoticed for seven days, perishing. He discloses that he discovered her body during his shift and, as his shift concluded, he concealed the well to prevent the discovery from becoming public knowledge.
Eventually, she would come to possess the video Milhouse, and the others watched at the party. Driven by curiosity, Lisa watches TikTok, only to be told by a mysterious caller that she has seven days. Defiant, she challenges the caller, deeming them a coward and demanding they kill her immediately, but she is left on hold. Mary then crawled through the television screen and tried to kill Lisa, but Lisa gives her a valentine card and she want to be friends with her. The friendship is short-lived, however, as Mary cannot cope with Lisa's clingy nature and leaps back into the well again while Lisa plays her saxophone.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Mopey Mary also appeared in Tapped Out during the Treehouse of Horror XXXIII Event (act 2).
