- "Why won't you release me?"

H-Crusader is a cancelled music/cartoon/comic book project from Australian singer and songwriter Sia. It was developed around 2006-2008, but ended up being scrapped after her label turned it down.
Background
Sia mentioned the project in multiple occasions, she described it as an attempt to a more pop and fun sound, which did not please her label, Island Records, at the time:[1]
“ | That's why I made this album. I wanted to tour this music, and I wanted it to be fun to tour. Basically, I wanted to make a pop album, but I couldn't because I'm a "down-tempo" artist. |

The project included songs, a comic book and even short animated videos, revolving around "H-Crusader", a fictional superhero character based on Sia herself:
“ | The "H" stands for "humanitarian." She's only got one special skill. You know when you're having a deep conversation with someone and you forget a word and the whole thing hinges upon this one word and it will ruin your day if you can't remember it? Her special skill is she can fly up and whisper it in your ear. She also likes dogs. |

Trivia
- Sia has confirmed on Twitter that three songs from the H-Crusader project made it onto her 2010 album We Are Born.
