Britney Jean Spears (born 2 December 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Sia has co-written three songs performed by Spears, as well as covered her 2007 hit "Gimme More" during a live concert.

1997-1999

Spears would sign to label Jive Records in 1997 and go on to record material for her debut album, …Baby One More Time.

1999-2000

Spears would begin to record material for her 2nd studio album Oops!… I Did It Again and begin work on her 3rd studio album, Britney.

2001-2002

Spears would go on to release her 3rd studio album and become a less child-friendly artist, which is most notable in the lead single, "I'm A Slave 4 U".

2003-2006

Spears would begin to record material for her 4th studio album, In the Zone, and begin to create her lost album Original Doll while taking a break.

2007

Spears would go through her infamous mental breakdown, receiving worldwide attention, then releasing her 5th studio album, Blackout.

2008-2010

Spears' 6th studio album, Circus, was released right after she was put into her conservatorship, which would result in the worldwide movement, "Free Britney".

2011-2012

Her 7th studio album, Femme Fatale, was released to mostly negative reception from fans due to the new electronic, overproduced sounds.

2013-2015

Her 8th studio album, Britney Jean, was released after she worked with Sia to create three of its tracks. The album would face heavy criticism due to vocals from Myah Marie used as lead vocals.

2016-Present

Spears' 9th studio album, Glory, was released in 2016. After that, not much happened until 2020, when Glory received a new cover art, which would face mild criticism due to Spears being nearly nude on the picture. In 2021, Spears' conservatorship was terminated.
