Gracia (グラシア, Gurashia^?) is a major character in Shining Force III Scenario 3: Bulzome Rising.

Background

Gracia is born with the latent Innovator's power within him, but he does not remember of his parents. Raised in the sacred land of Elbesem, he was treated as a living god and therefor had no friend to play with, being highly responsible with his power of Innovator.

Benetram asked Medion if he could go to the sacred land of Elbesem and found Gracia in the Elbesem's temple, harassed by Fiale to force him to take the Elbesem's staff, but Medion saves him just in time.

Gracia plays no more role in Medion's story and then left the party with Donhort and Julian so Gracia could do what he was meant for as an Innovator's vessel.

Personality

Gracia's personnality is somehow sad since he was not raised by his parents (dead when he was a child and does not remember them) and as being treated as a demi-god, was never treated as child, had no friend and his responsabilities as the Innovator's vessel are heavy to bear.

Strategy

Gracia is treated as all others heroes of the game : you are defeated are returned to the previous church if he is defeated, as Synbios, Medion or Julian. So, in scenario 3, if either Julian or Gracia is defeated, the party is defeated. It is an important fact to have in mind in Premium disk since if the player takes Synbios, Medion, Julian and Gracia, it is an instand game other if either of them are defeated.

Powers & Magic

Gracia is some sort of "half wizard half healer", having Aura as his base healing skill (instead of heal for almost all healers), Inferno, and two own magic, blessing that can either heal allies or deal damage to ennemy, and shining that will deplet his magic but is the only ability that can force the Walkyrie to stop for a while.

Interrestingly, at the end of shining the holy ark, the spirit inside the hero, Arthur, stays in his body. The even of Holy ark happens around 10 years before the even of the shining force and that Gracia is around 12 years old, it just take a few to imagine that Arthur is in fact his father and died by unknown means (maybe Galm so Gracia could be more easilly be the pawn he needs to deal with Bulzome) and Gracia inherited of his spirit, so he could become a true innovator. This is fan fiction, not trivia. It is unknown which spirit remained at the end of STHA. The roaming spirits who need a body would have entered Gracia at a young age almost immediately after the events of STHA.
