Alterone is a city located northeast of Guardiana in Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention. It is the location of Battle 4.
Background
Little information exists on Alterone's history, however it's people care about little besides their own self-interest. The castle guards shirk their work, residents are quick to dismiss news that Runefaust has attacked Guardiana, and King Alterone puts the avoidance of his peoples' mere involvement in any outer dispute first. As one elder outside the Weapons shop says: "No one worries about anything nowadays. It seems pretty odd to me."
Places
Alterone has a chapel, though the Priest is not there until after Battle 4. Instead, a blonde man stands in his place, though he does not offer the same services.
There is both a Weapons shop and an Items shop. Within the Weapons shop is a Guardiana ex-pat who informs Max that a friend of his brought news of the Runefaustian attack on Guardiana to King Alterone.
Alterone Castle houses nine guards and two knights. It contains at least two secret passageways: one from the dungeon to the Shining Force Headquarters, and another from the main hall to Rindo.
