YS NET Inc., is an independent development studio founded by the creator of the Shenmue series, Yu Suzuki in 2008.
YS Net developed Shenmue III after a successful Kickstarter campaign launched at E3 2015 crowdfunded it. The original publisher of Shenmue and Shenmue II, Sega licensed future titles of the Shenmue series to YS Net and Sega still owns the license to the first two titles. In November 2019, Shenmue III was released by YS Net and published by Deep Silver.
In November 2024, ININ Games took over as the publisher for Shenmue III since YS Net's deal with Deep Silver expired.
