Sugano (菅野 Sugano) is an anime original character and student in Yūji's class, Class 1-2 at Misaki Municipal High School.
Appearance
Sugano is a young light-skinned girl with black hair that is tied in a ponytail, purple eyes and a tall figure.
She is usually seen wearing the Misaki Municipal High School uniform. For the Misago Festival she wears a light brown yukata with a dark brown ribbon.[2]
Personality
Sugano is a lively girl.
Background
In Class 1-2, Sugano sits in the middle of the classroom, to the left of Yūji Sakai.
Plot
"Hunter" Arc
Sugano and the rest of the class watch as Yukari Hirai reprimands Mr. Okada and the other teachers.[3]
"Mobilizer of Ceremonial Equipment" Arc
At school, Sugano plans to go to the Misago Festival with Sasaki and Matake Ogata, after which Matake asks Eita Tanaka to go with them and is rejected.[4]
Sugano goes to the festival with Sasaki and Matake. They have to stop for Matake when she spots Eita with a strange woman.[2]
"Village of Jestful Slumber" Arc
Sugano is seen eating lunch with Ogiwara and Sasaki.
Fumina Konoe Arc
Sugano and the class watch as Fumina Konoe is introduced as a transfer student. When Fumina wants to sit in her seat, Sugano protests to the teacher, but he allows Fumina to have the seat and directs Sugano to the back.[5]
Omens of a Storm Arc
Sugano is seen working on a banner for the Seishū Festival with Sasaki. She is among the girls who watch Kimiko Nakamura force Eita Tanaka to try the Cowardly Lion costume she had made. Later, she and Sasaki complain about Kimiko groping Kazumi and Shana in the showers. The next day, Sugano and some other girls listen to Fumina's recital of Romeo's lines.[6]
"Colorful Wave" Arc
Sugano is in a group of girls who admire Shana when she wears the Dorothy costume. She is seen at the award ceremony when Shana begins her victory speech, before being caught in a twister.[7]
Scars from the Storm Arc
The day after the parade, Sugano, Sasaki and Ogiwara are clearing the costumes and don't recognize the wizard costume, which was worn by Fumina Konoe.[8]
Final Battle of Misaki City Arc
Sugano reads a magazine with Ogiwara before school starts the day after the creation of Xanadu.[9]
