Plot
While in Xanadu, Crimson Denizens and Lords are able to manifest without consuming Power of Existence from humans, Caim is one peculiar Crimson Lord who still makes a contract with a human and creates a Flame Haze. From his perspective, this is the atonement for his misdeeds during his contract with Claude. He also views himself to be a presumptuous scum as he declined to participate in the reveal ceremony of Justus.[1]

Caim often insulted Claude by calling him a coward. Despite that, he acknowledged Claude to be a capable Flame Haze, and found it regrettable to call off the contract; this was why Caim followed Claude when he decided to join Révolution and deviated from Flame Haze's duties.
