Xiuying Hong is a character in the Shenmue series. She is a martial arts master at the Man Mo Temple in Wan Chai where she goes under the title Lishao Tao.

Past
When Xiuying was a little girl her parents were murdered forcing her and her brother, Ziming Hong, to be raised in an orphanage in Hong Kong. Ziming declared that he would join the Chi You Men in order to find out information about their parents killer and gain the power to exact revenge. The young Xiuying begged her brother to not seek revenge, believing it a path to evil. Ziming gave her half of his Yin Yang stone, keeping the other half as a promise to meet up again as soon as he was done. That was the last time Xiuying saw her brother.
Many years passed and Xiuying eventually became the master of Man Mo Temple, gaining the title of 'Grandmaster Lishao Tao' and adopting a young girl, Fangmei Xun, who attended the same orphanage as she did. Fangmei looks up to Xiuying, and works at the temple as way of thanking them for adopting her.
Shenmue II
When Ryo Hazuki first arrives at the temple, Xiuying has a monk, Hanhui Liu, talk to him and tell Ryo that he must first learn about the four Wude before Grandmaster Lishao Tao will meet with him. Ryo mistakes Hanhui Liu for the Grandmaster at first, believing Lishao Tao to be a man, and is surprised when it turns out to be a woman not much older than himself.
Xiuying is reluctant to aid Ryo in his quest as she believes the path of revenge he is going down will only lead him to death and evil. She attempts to get Ryo to see this and that his skills are not enough to take down someone as skilled and dangerous as Lan Di, but this is not enough to sway Ryo from his chosen goal.
Despite this, Xiuying looks out for Ryo during his stay in Hong Kong, allowing him a place to stay in exchange for some light temple chores and even saves him in a battle with an infuriated Dou Niu.
When Ryo leaves Hong Kong to pursue Lan Di, she hands him her half of her brother's Yin Yang stone, not mentioning that the other half was in her brother's possession.

Trivia
- Xiuying was one of the first fully formed characters in the series, with her character designed as far back as when the original Shenmue was planned for the Sega Saturn.
- If Ryo phones Guizhang Chen up in Shenmue III he will mention meeting Xiuying Hong. When asked what the grandmaster was like Ryo has the option to say strong, scary of beautiful. If Ryo chooses beautiful, Guizhang will be surprised that the grandmaster is a beautiful woman and after a pause will state that he thinks he should visit the grandmaster himself.
- Xiuying appears as a capsule toy in Shenmue III.
