Polly is the main protagonist of Baku Baku Animal.
Appearance
Polly is a young girl with curly blonde hair, two small pink hairbows, a matching pink dress, a purple cape and two purple buttons. She wears a pair of brown boots.
History
When the Princess demanded yet another pet, her father, the King and the Minister set about finding someone to become the official Royal Zookeeper.
Polly puts herself forward, facing off against the other opponents, the royal servants and finally the Princess herself to obtain the role of Royal Zookeeper. The Princess is satisfied at Polly's skills, and introduces her to Gabriel the lion and Snakey the snake, the latter of whom takes an instant liking to Polly. The Princess states she knows that she and her are destined to become good friends.
Trivia
- Polly is the sole playable character in the Master System and Game Gear versions of Baku Baku Animal, likely due to console limitations.
- Polly's name is derived from the word "polygon", in reference to the game's graphics.
- If Gon is played as in the Arcade and Saturn versions, Polly takes his place as an opponent.
