Bullet is a arcade shoot'em up title released by Sega exclusively in Japan in 1987.
Gameplay
Up to three players can work co-operatively to shoot to the alien hordes that roam the city streets.
Emmy, Fred and Chris must clear the stage of alien enemies and descend into the earth's surface below to clear out more and more aliens and robotic enemies as you travel further underground past the subways and sewers and into their underground base of operations.
The game ran on a two stick system, with one stick moving the character and the other allowing for the aiming of shots. This dual stick gameplay allowed for rapid firing. Shots could penetrate through enemies allowing for a singular bullet to take out multiple enemies.
Unlike most games of it's genre, that would trade coins for more continues, the players in Bullet are only afforded a singular continue. Dying after this ends in a game over and the player must start over.
Trivia
- Emmy appears as a scorecard cameo in Nintendo Switch's Sega Ages line.
- Chris is not playable in all versions of this arcade game, as only cabinets with a third set of two arcade sticks would allow her to be accessed.
