- In a promotional teaser, Becky is known as "The Damsel In Distress".
- She is teased to be a Ghostface target, but is a red herring in the opening.
- She is portrayed by Paris Jackson, whose father is Michael Jackson, music royalty (the television series premiered on MTV). This is a reference to Drew Barrymore, a member of the Barrymore family acting, film industry royalty. Becky does not die, but since she is not a target for an attack, she is not the first opening kill survivor, but rather a narrative red herring.

- Lele Pons portrays a main female lead and is killed in the opening of Season 2. But that death was of a scene from a movie within the show. But that fact wasn't revealed until after she's killed.
- Becky joins the meta but real life actresses within the film series Tori Spelling, Heather Graham, and characters such as Murphy and Kirby Reed from the films; as well as Emma Duval and her mom Maggie, Ava Miller and Brooke Maddox from the TV series as the only female blonde characters not to be killed off in the franchise.
