Yukie (雪枝, Yukie) is a major character of Mermaid Saga, appearing in the story “Mermaid’s Scar”.
Biography
She worked as a housekeeper at the mansion Misa and Masato lived in, unaware of their immortality. Bright, caring and adorable, she was friends with a lady who works at a construction site where Yuta and Mana worked as well. She got engaged and was going to quit her job, but when she made the announcement to Misa, Masato overheard and asked her to eat a piece of mermaid’s flesh in hope of making her immortal for he grew attached to her and chose her to become his new surrogate mother, replacing Misa, but she instead transformed into a lost soul and was killed by Yuta. Her engagement ring was found and kept by Yuta who lamented her fate.
