Band World Tour

Band World Tour is a mode in Rock Band where you can create a band and play songs in a ton of different places. While it is a lot like the Solo Tour mode, there are tons of differences. The biggest is that you can play multiplayer together and get graded like in the Solo Tour Mode. You can also get fans by playing well. The better you play, the more fans you get. The Band World Tour also hosts the very challenging Endless Setlist. In the Endless Setlist, the player cannot play on the Easy difficulty. You can play on Medium, Hard, and Expert, but Easy is ruled out, regardless of what instrument you play.

Structure

The player can choose from 12 out of the 17 cities available in the game, where initially only the Small club venue is accessible. Progression is made by earning stars through the completion of songs and setlists, which will unlock more gigs; and being rewarded with fans and money after every concert, the former of which will help meet certain conditions to unlock other venues and cities, and the latter of which can be spent on the Rock Shop to customize band members. Certain gigs also have challenges which can provide bigger rewards should their conditions be met, such as earning double the concert's payout for completing a song with at least 4 stars, but the player can choose whether or not to take these challenges.

By unlocking vehicles, more cities are open for traveling. The Van only allows travel to the two other cities nearer the chosen hometown, the Tour Bus unlocks the cities on the neighboring zone to the one where the three initial cities are (West Coast-East Coast, and Western Europe-Central Europe), and finally the Jet unlocks the rest of the map. Each city in the starting areas has three different areas in which the players can accumulate stars, except for those outside the starting areas, each containing a single, large concert hall.

The following cities are featured on Band World Tour:

The Endless Setlist

The Endless Setlist is a very challenging mode, available in the Band World Tour mode. Despite the name, The Endless Setlist is actually not endless, but rather, it's a very long setlist that feels endless, because it includes all 58 on-disc songs in the game (45 main and 13 bonus) and the songs are listed in order of overall band difficulty. The Endless Setlist starts with "29 Fingers" and ends with "Won't Get Fooled Again". You can play the Endless Setlist on Medium, Hard, or Expert, mostly because it follows the rules of the Band World Tour, and Band World Tour doesn't let you play on the Easy difficulty. Upon completing the Endless Setlist, you get an achievement, and your icon gets changed. The change depends on what difficulty you play and beat it on. Beating it on Medium makes your icon invert colors (The instrument becomes black, and the background becomes white). Beating it on Hard causes the icon to become golden. The best icon you can have is a Platinum icon, achieved after beating it on Expert. You get an achievement for playing with a "Platinum Player".

Setlist

A setlist is a certain number of songs you have to play without failing. You must complete the whole setlist to get any fans or money. Even the endless setlist you will have to complete the whole setlist without saving and with no checkpoints. In solo tour there is no setlists. It is five or six songs per city. It is separated by setlists in only the band world tour. Making a setlist you can choose any song that you have but you have to have a certain number of songs in the setlist, and you can't go under the minimum.
