RoVer is a multi-purpose, Roblox-related open-sourced Discord bot developed by evaera that gives Discord servers an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their Roblox account. It accomplishes this by forcing the user to either put a code in their profile, or join a game, rather than having the player enter their personal information.
The bot provides functionality for basic verification, as well as advanced automated roles including roles for users with specific group ranks, friendship status, game pass ownership, etc. These advanced automated roles are under the title "virtual groups" which give the bot extra functionality alongside the basic verification system.
RoVer Plus
On July 18, 2019, RoVer Plus was announced, which gives users who pay at least $6 per month access to more RoVer features in their servers, including automatic role updates, unlimited role bindings, and better uptime.
Criticism

RoVer has been criticized by many for going offline frequently, sometimes for weeks straight, resulting in an inability for users to verify in servers.[citation needed] Evaera made an official announcement on the bot's Discord server, clarifying that the downtime is due to Discord limitations on single-server bots. RoVer has also been criticized by many for having to pay for the RoVer Plus bot in order to use the verification bot with much less downtime.
