- For the class, see Animation.
Animations are an asset type containing animation data. An animation can be retrieved by linking its asset ID to an Animation object, which can then be loaded (returning an AnimationTrack) and played by a Animator parented to a Humanoid or an AnimationController.
Only animations that are public (created by Roblox Roblox is a notable creator or influencer verified by Roblox Corporation. Learn more.) or created by the place's creator can be used in one's place. Users can create animations by importing animation data through Animation Editor or other plugins in Roblox Studio. Animations were introduced on October 2, 2013.[1]
