Rabisu

Not part of Riordanverse

The following article/section is from the Sikander Aziz series continuity under Rick Riordan Presents and not the Riordanverse canon.

You humans have a history built on heroes. You have so much stacked up against you. You’re fragile and short-lived and yet you have such grand hopes. Perhaps I should get to know you a little better.

–Rabisu to Sik on wanting to explore humanity after changing her views on it in The Loneliest Demon.

Rabisu is a demon and formerly a follower of Nergal.

History

Rabisu was unknowingly tormented by her fellow demons for millennia, having maggots put in her head, having most of her tail bitten off, and being thrown into a vat of molten metal that resulted in her becoming a skeleton and spending the next decade regrowing her flesh.

In 1066, Rabisu fought in the Battle of Hastings when England fell to the Normans. She fought as an archer on Duke William's side and got in a lucky hit.

After Nergal's Plague was cured, she spent months unsuccessfully trying to get back home.

The Loneliest Demon

After days of trying to battle Sikander Aziz to the death, he finally agrees. They go into the alleyway behind Mo's and she lunges at him, however he sidesteps and she hits trash cans. She starts to cry and Sik's mother comforts her. She gives her some of Sik's old clothes as he calls Belet Amari on how to get into the underworld. She tells him her brother Petar can help them and gives them his address.

They arrive at a comic shop and Petar tells them Gilgamesh's seal could get them into Kurnugi. They meet back up with him at the United Nations building and get an elevator to themselves. Sim puts on the seat and pushes the button, however he goes with her. After failing to open the door they hear a heartbeat and she realizes it is the Anunna. The door opens to reveal Petar, who believes the attempt was a failure. They tell him what they heard and he takes them to a bench to speak. After explaining what they are to Sik, Petar deems helping her get home to be to dangerous and she starts to cry, which only intensifies when learning Sik is immortal.

As they walk back to the deli, she laments on the “fun” she and her friends had together while Sik finds her treatment to be borderline abuse, however she says it is better than no friends at all. When they return to Mo's, they find it packed. Sik gives her his jacket with the keys in the pocket to let herself in as he goes to help his parents. She leaves the jacket and keys in his room, but takes the seal and heads to the Canal Street station.

When she opens the portal, the Anunna attack her, branding head she flees and drops the seal. Sik finds her and she warns him to run, but he goes after the ring and she joins him. They find the ring close to the portal and she goes for it as Sik fights the Anunna. Sik destroys the seal and passes out. She slaps him awake and helps him to a nearby bench.

She stays with Petar for a few days until returning to Mo's to return Sik's shirt. As she explains how she is going to explore the United States, he gives her a T-shirt with the Statue of Liberty on it.

Fury of the Dragon Goddess

Rabisu accompanies Sikander Aziz, Belet Amari and Mohammed Aziz as they battle Lugal and Tiamat, although her antics often frustrate Sik. However, Rabisu dispatches Anzud and gives Sik the idea that allows him to beat Lugal. Although Rabisu is consumed along with the rest of existence by Tiamat, she is restored when the dragon goddess is killed by Sik and Mo and the Tablet of Destinies is wiped clean.

A picture of Rabisu wearing the queen mother's crown is later up on the deli's wall and has gotten almost a million likes on the demon's Instagram account. Mo tells his parents that Rabisu has gone off with Lady Gaga and he thinks that Berlin is her next stop.
