Pete is a Palikos who lives in the forest of Camp Half-Blood with his partner Paulie.
History
In ancient times, Pete was sought out by runaway slaves for shelter. People would come to him and his twin to make binding oaths, perform sacrifices, and give offerings and prayers. However, as time went on people forgot about him.
The Trials of Apollo
The Hidden Oracle

Apollo and Meg come across Pete while searching Camp Half-Blood's forest for the missing demigods. After a short conversation about marketing for the camp, Apollo asks Pete about the missing demigods, but the palikos is reluctant to answer any questions about the Grove of Dodona due to instructions from Paulie, his fellow geyser god who has since gone missing after making a trip to the Grove. Anxious to save his missing children, Apollo tries to push Pete to let information about the Grove slip, but three Myrmekes appear and Pete disappears back into his geyser.
After a short battle Meg is captured by the Myrmekes and taken back to their lair. Pete reappears and gives Apollo directions to the lair, and tells him that Meg will be killed in 24 hours.
Appearance
Pete's lower half consists only of steam, while from the waist up, he is about twice the size of a human, with muscular arms the color of caldera mud, chalk-white eyes, and hair like cappuccino foam. He wears a baby-blue polo shirt with a logo of trees embroidered on the chest pocket.
Personality
Pete, like his partner, is obsessed with marketing and often diverges from a conversation to start discussing surveys and marketing opportunities.
