Periphetes was a Greek demigod son of Hephaestus who killed and robbed travelers. He was killed by Theseus with his own club.

As Theseus, a prince of Troezen, travels to Athens, he tries to kill and mug him. However Theseus claims his club is fake and the son of Hephaestus becomes outraged. He gave Theseus his club and the prince killed him and took club as his own.
