Percy Jackson and the Olympians
The Lightning Thief

Megaera, along with the two other Furies, boards a Greyhound bus disguised as a human in order to taunt Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood. Percy turns invisible with Annabeth's Yankee's Cap in order to escape the trio, but when the sisters find out that he is not to be found, their disguise as humans fades away. Attention is drawn to the Furies and human passengers on the bus start to panic, as their leathery wings protrude from their human clothes. They start to scream, "Where is it?". The demigods think they are talking about Zeus' missing Master Bolt, but it is revealed that they are in pursuit of Hades' Helm of Darkness. Magaera goes to the beach along with Alecto and Tisiphone to collect Hades' Helm of Darkness from Percy Jackson, and sees that Percy was not responsible for stealing Zeus' master bolt, Ares, Luke Castellan, and Kronos were.
