Initiate

Initiates are members of the House of Life who are in training to become magicians.

Description

They start their training no older than 10, and leave Heliopolis at 13. They do the scrying and keep in touch with other magicians around the world. Initiates usually take one of the paths in the House, but they train with most of them. When they can conjure objects reasonably well, then they will do practice duels with other initiates. Each duel has a fully trained magician watching over it. Initiates are given personal quarters to sleep.
