The Chupacabra (meaning goat sucker in Spanish) is a cryptid, or hidden animal, with sightings across Mexico, the southwestern United States, and Puerto Rico. It is known to suck the blood from livestock, leaving two puncture wounds in their necks and no trace of blood.

When Bruto becomes lethargic, he shows Pao a series of images about a certain flower that could help him. When Pao and Dante track it down, they find other chupacabra puppies at the flower.

Bruto is seen resting in the apartment. He is also teleported to Oregon by Pao, along with Emma and Pao's mother.

Bruto rests on Pao's bed and fights for the Niños in El Cucuy's Invasion.
Trivia
- Descriptions of the chupacabra differ between regions. While sightings in Mexico and the continental U.S. describe it as a hairless dog-like creature with large hind legs, sightings in Puerto Rico describe it as a kangaroo-like bipedal reptile with spines down its back, large eyes, and in some cases wings.
- The chupacabra has various origins, such as a government experiment that escaped captivity and an alien that was left behind on an extraterrestrial expedition.
- The chupacabra is a relatively new cryptid, with the first sightings occurring in Puerto Rico in March of 1995.
