Further notes

Ghiozzo is a carnivorous arowana-based B.O.W. introduced in Resident Evil: Revelations. In Italian, Ghiozzo translates into Goby, a common name for many species of small to medium-sized ray-finned fish, normally with large heads and tapered bodies.

History

In a video shown by Il Veltro leader Jack Norman to the BSAA, he demonstrated the frightening power of the T-Abyss Virus by injecting it into a small aquarium filled with a group of arowanas. The arowanas rapidly mutated into a flock of vicious Ghiozzos upon contact with the virus.[1]

Later on the Queen Zenobia, Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani are investigating a casino. They found a fountain with fish in it (arowanas, the same fish species as the ones experimented on by Norman), and accidentally released the T-Abyss virus into the fountain, immediately transforming the arowanas in the fountain into Ghiozzos.[2]

Excerpt from BIOHAZARD REVELATIONS NAVIGATION & ART, p. 113:
