In the mythology of India, Kadru (Kadrū in IAST notation, Devanagari: कद्रू), is usually the daughter of Daksha, wife of Kashyapa, and the mother of the Nagas. This is according to the Mahabharata (Adi Parva).
In some accounts, derived from the Ramayana, she is however the daughter of Kasyapa and Krodhavaśā, who is another daughter of Daksha. Thus she may alternatively be considered the granddaughter of Daksha.
Rohini Devi is a partial incarnation of Kadru. According to the Mahabharata she was the one responsible for the deception of Vinata mother of Garuda and the eventual robbery of Amrita by Garuda.
