Hagen was the man who found Kora when she landed on Veldt. He was portrayed by Ingvar Sigurdsson in A Child of Fire and The Scargiver.
Biography
"When I found you in the wreckage of that ship, I considered leaving you. I was afraid you could bring trouble to us."
Hagen, A Child of Fire

Hagen was married with a daughter named Liv, but he lost both his wife and daughter to a hereditary heart condition before finding the wreckage of Kora's dropship.[2] When he found Kora, a refugee of war, he thought she could bring trouble to his Veldtian farming village, so he considered leaving her to die, but instead, gave her space in his home and the chance to join the village. He allowed Kora the use of Liv's old clothing and looked after Kora's interests. When the Imperium came, he argued in favor of making a stand, hoping Kora could help the village find outside support. He was unable to convince her, however, until she couldn't look away from the actions of the soldiers.[3]

As the one who found Kora's ship, Hagen knew where it crashed and led a group of villagers to recover it for the coming battle. The dropship would be instrumental in fighting back against Admiral Atticus Noble's forces. When they arrived, instead of hiding in the longhouse with the other elders, Hagen took up the responsibility of the signal bell that would launch Veldt's attack in the case that negotiations failed. Negotiations succeeded and Hagen dropped the hammer at Kora's request, but Gunnar couldn't accept the terms and rang the bell with a shot from Kora's Guardian Gun, signaling the attack.
"We honor them now in the only way we can. By remembering their names when next we bring in the harvest. A season from now; a hundred seasons. And by carrying on."
Hagen, The Scargiver
One of the more respected figures in the village, when the smoke cleared and the dead were gathered, Hagen was the man to lead the funeral procession to honor all those who sacrificed themselves for the village.[4]
